Pulsatrix is the name of an owl species, an animal of nocturnal habits. Given that the team was only available to dedicate itself to its dream after the conventional work routine, they decided to name the studio Pulsatrix Studios.
The company was founded by three young Brazilian developers: Fabio, Marco and Thiago. The Brazilian market lacked opportunities, quality production, and investments, so they worked for several years for international gaming companies, such as Capcom, MoGi Group and ZOAN.
They had the dream to create a Brazilian triple A game, and in 2018 they started developing Fobia - St. Dinfna Hotel. The demo has been widely covered by Brazilian youtubers, who praised the visuals and immersive environment. Now they are working full-time on the development of the full game, which is built using the Unreal Engine.
The vision is to produce a horror game with excellence and global reach. The dream (and long-term plan) is to is to establish a local development community, sharing experiences and encouraging new projects, with the objective of taking Brazil to a prominent place in the world of game development.
